santorini was way better but here's what i liked:
- went for "dinner with the stars" (platform which gets raised on a massive tower and they server you dinner on it. while overlooking the parthenon at night)
- parthenon (goated but a lot of construction/supports/restoration work as always)
- gyros were really good

### santorini

probably top 3 places of all time
- stayed at a bed and breakfast place run by a guy named george who made the best breakfast every morning (actual greek yoghurt, insanely good fruits, omelettes, milk/coffee, bacon)
- our veranda overlooked the entire lagoon and the sea was the bluest blue i've ever seen (except for in split, croatia)
- went to a bookstore where the shopkeeper first introduced me to the miss peregrine's home for peculiar children series (one of my all-time favorites)
- probably the most beautiful (and slightly overrun) shopping district ever created
- the most unique architectural style i've ever laid eyes on

### split

split is my favorite place i've ever gone on holiday to.
- went swimming in the sea on a yacht
- best nectarines i've ever tasted
- we were there during the 2018 world cup where croatia was a runner-up!!! the energy was insane
- visited and explored a ton of diocletian's palace, which is crazy cause i'm a percy jackson fan so seeing a place diocletian used to stay blew my mind
- our local guide drove us at 200+ km/h cause croatian highways are insane lol
