# on passkeys

I will never use passkeys. I will use 1Password and authenticator apps over them every single time. This is something I already do, but [this post](https://nonfunctional.substack.com/p/passkeys-are-a-trap-do-not-use-them?r=2ktnui) puts it into words more thoroughly than I ever took the effort of explaining.
